PILLARS

This micro-collection is a relfection about our shared natural heritage.
Everest, Uluru, Fuji. Three mountain peaks that are fascinating me… one to conquer, one to contemplate, and one to inspire.

Printed on Hahnmüle Photo Rag paper with Ultrachrome Pro ink.
Numbered series of 12 for each artwork.

EVEREST

Peak XV aka Mount Everest, or सगरमाथा in nepalese, is the tallest mountain on Earth (from sea level). Despite the extreme risks, many consider climbing it to be an absolute achievement worth dying for. This artwork is an ode to the absolute force of Nature, and our everlasting itch to conquer it.

Numbered serie 12/12, 100×100 print on Hahnmüle Photo Rag paper with UltraChrome Pro ink.

ULURU

The sacred mountain of the Pitjantjatjara aboriginal tribe.
Glitches in the pixel sorting process have accidentally created artifacts, that appear as some sort of dust carried out by the wind. It shows erosion, or is it destruction by evil mining corporations? We must acknowledge that our natural heritage will not last forever. Let’s protect it as much as we can now.

Numbered serie 12/12, 100×100 print on Hahnmüle Photo Rag paper with UltraChrome Pro ink.

FUJI

Mount Fuji (富士山) has “inspired artists and poets and been the object of pilgrimage for centuries”. It is a cultural icon in itself, one that I long to see with my own eyes.

Numbered serie 12/12, 100×100 print on Hahnmüle Photo Rag paper with UltraChrome Pro ink.
